In general, dermal fillers are an effective treatment for a number of skin conditions, especially an ageing face.

There are limited side effects with dermal fillers due to use of hyaluronic acid. Some people may encounter some redness, swelling, bruising and irritation at the injection site for a few hours and potentially for a few days after the procedure.

In the past, some clients have said that they have lumps under the skin after getting dermal fillers. This can be normal and will often go away naturally as the filler is absorbed into the skin. The lumps are not visibly noticeable and can only be noticed when pressing on the face. Some dermal fillers are more commonly associated with lumps than others.
